Hi everyone,,

Looking for some advice please. I currently take a weekly injection of Enbrel and Leflunomide every night as well as a large number of painkillers. I am on a phased return to work and went into school on Thursday. Didnt feel great Thursday night but by Sunday I had a full blown throat and chest infection. I have been to the doctors today and been given 5 days of anti-biotics. I didnt take my leflunomide last night and havent injected my Enbrel today. My gp didnt know whether or not I should take the meds and I cant phone the Rheumatology dept because I cant speak.

Can any one tell me whether to take them or not? I am in the middle of a really bad flare up and really need to take them.

the gp needs to ring rheumatology! lazy gp!

leave the anti-TNF off (I would) and if you are on steroids you need to double them when you are ill.

Hope you get well soon- you will need MEGA anti-biotics, that GP keeping a close eye.

School will have to wait Im afraid.
